About Us

Founded in 1993, UCP is a small, non-profit preschool serving children ages 2 through 5.
We are located in Chapel Hill at the intersection of MLK Jr. Blvd. and Homestead Rd., 5 minutes from I-40, 10 minutes from UNC and Carrboro, and 15 minutes from downtown Hillsborough.
The school year runs from early September through late May.
Our hours are 9 am to 12 pm Monday through Friday.
We offer an optional Lunch Day program 5 days a week from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for students in the Fish and Frog classes all year and open to Turtles in the Spring.
Our large playground and covered porches are adjacent to a beautiful wooded area.

UCP offers the following classes:

Turtles

Age: 2 years old by August 31st

Meets: Monday-Friday, with options of 2-5 days.

Class Size: 12 children and 2 teachers

Fish

Age: 3 - 4 years old by August 31st

Meets: Monday-Friday, with options of 4 or 5 days.

Class Size: 14 children and 2 teachers

Frogs

Age: 4 years old by August 31st

Meets: Monday-Friday

Class Size: 16 children and 2 teachers
